What on earth is Steampunk?
If you’ve ever wondered what happens when Victorian elegance crashes headfirst into a pile of gears, steam engines, and wild imagination… that’s steampunk.
Think:
- Pocket watches that may or may not control time
- Corsets paired with tool belts
- Airship captains, rogue inventors, and time travellers
- Brass, leather, goggles… always goggles
It’s part history, part fantasy, and entirely about creativity. There are no strict rules, which is both liberating and mildly dangerous.
The Challenge
This isn’t just “dress up and wander about” (though you’re welcome to do that too). This is your chance to step into character and show off your creativity in front of a crowd that genuinely gets it.
Whether you’re:
- A first-time tinkerer with a glue gun and a dream
- A seasoned steampunk aristocrat with a wardrobe that deserves its own postcode
